‘preventive’ surgery barbaric
“Preventive” surgery? I can’t believe what I am reading. Oncologists are recommending voluntary mastectomy to prevent breast cancer.
It was bad enough they tried to push the Tamoxifen drug on healthy women in the name of “prevention.” (A drug which greatly increases one’s risk of uterine cancer and stroke.)
Now, because of the fear and terror that’s been created by testing for a so-called mutant gene, women are choosing to mutilate their healthy bodies because they’ve been convinced this may be their only option.
Yes, Ms. Kelly Metcalfe, it is “barbaric.”
Let’s see, my grandmother died of a sudden heart attack, my father and brother have had quadruple bypasses, and I have an irregular heartbeat. So, I guess I should have my “heart removed” because I’m obviously at high risk of heart disease.
Does this make sense? Has anyone thought about the risks associated with surgery, complications, infections, poor recovery, and the side-effects of the drugs used? The stress of being told you have this “bad gene” would be the more likely cause of your cancer.
Prevention does not start with surgery or drugs. It starts with building a healthy immune system. Get back to basics. Our body is designed to heal itself.
Focus on exceptional nutrition that is plant-based. Include quality supplements and “super foods” because the quality of our food is not where it should be. Acquire a taste for things other than salt and sugar. Make lifestyle changes that include exercise and stress reduction.
Be happy. Start with small positive changes and keep improving gradually. Take control of your life and work toward disease prevention.
