Tips To Revive Tired Eyes Post-Cancer Treatment
3 MINS to read
Many women undergoing chemotherapy may struggle to feel beautiful during treatments because our skin tends to dry out, especially around the eyes. I’m going to show you how you can make your eyes pop with these easy steps!
Here’s what you need:
Follow these steps:
Step 1: Eye cream
Use an eye cream with active ingredients to treat dryness, dark circles, puffiness, and wrinkles. Apply the product beneath your lower lid.
Step 2: Colour corrector
Use a colour corrector if concealer does not hide your dark circles. Choose a pink shade to neutralize pink-blue circles, or a peach shade to neutralize purple-brown circles.
Step 3: Concealer
Apply concealer to any dark circles around your eyes or other blemishes. Choose a colour slightly lighter than your skin tone, and opt for a stick or creamy formula to avoid extra dryness. Dot the concealer on with your fingertips and gently blend it into your skin.
Step 4: Eyeshadow
Sweep the lightest shade of eyeshadow all the way from your lash line to the area just below the arch of your eyebrow. This shade should blend in closely with your skin tone. Use a darker shade inside the crease of your eye. This accentuates the shape of your eye, making it stand out.
Step 5: Eyeliner
Choose an eyebrow pencil in a shade that matches your natural hair colour. Use the pencil to make a dot on your brow bone, just above the inside corner of your eye. Next, make another dot on your brow bone, just above the outer edge of your iris. Hold the pencil diagonally from the bottom corner of your nose. The point should extend a little past the outside corner of your eye. Draw a small dot to mark the end of your eyebrow. Use light, feathery strokes of the eyebrow pencil to connect the three dots. Draw the strokes in an upward motion. Do not draw a straight line! Taper the shape as you reach the final dot.
Bonus tip! Use some shimmery shadow to highlight the inner corners of your eyes and really make them pop. If you’ve lost your lashes, you can also opt to apply some falsies. Single lashes tend to look the most natural. –Sheri Stroh
