As a young woman with metastatic breast cancer, we know your needs and concerns are different. We want you to know we’re listening.

Rethink Breast Cancer is committed to educating, empowering and advocating for those affected by and concerned with metastatic breast cancer.

Metastatic breast cancer is often misunderstood or silenced by those who fear it due to lack of knowledge, information and education. The first phase of Rethink’s metastatic breast cancer project is to explore and help educate the public and healthcare community about the unique needs of young women living with Stage IV breast cancer.

Connect with other young women

Are you looking to connect with other young women living with metastatic breast cancer? Join the Rethink Young Women’s Network to stay up-to-date with our metastatic resources and get support from women in the RYWN private Facebook group.

Help us set priorities!

We also believe that the patient voice should be front and center when it comes to breast cancer research. This is why Rethink is collaborating in the Metastatic Breast Cancer Priority Setting Partnership which is helping to identify key research priorities for metastatic patients.   Please consider taking this important survey so that the people most affected by metastatic breast cancer have a voice in their care and treatment.

To participate in the survey or to find out more about it, visit http://www.breastcancerjla.com.

I AM ANNA

I AM ANNA tells the insightful story of Anna Craig: a mother, wife, artist, architect and young woman living with metastatic breast cancer. The film follows Anna’s inspiring journey to create her legacy by building an addition to her house that fulfils her artistic dreams and leaves something special for her family. Through this process we also watch her help to build a support network for young metastatic women. I AM ANNA is produced by Rethink Breast Cancer.

Young + Metastatic Forum

On April 27th 2015, Rethink hosted Young + Metastatic, an evening of film and conversation. The evening included the premiere screening of I AM ANNA, a half hour documentary followed by a panel discussion to better understand the gaps that exist in the care and support of young women living with metastatic breast cancer.

Metastatic Diaries

The Metastatic Diaries is a multimedia hub for people to share their stories and experience of being young and living with incurable cancer.  Through a collection of blogs, vlogs, photo essays and artwork Rethink wants to give those living with stage IV cancer a compelling and meaningful way to shape their identity and share their voices.
