They Said WHAT?!
Whenever we profile women in our Rethink’s Young Women’s Network, we always ask, “What’s the craziest thing someone said to you after being diagnosed with breast cancer?” The responses are always shocking…”They said WHAT?!”
We know that it’s not always easy to say the right thing to someone going through trauma. We’ve even written about it in hopes that the sentiment of saying nothing at all or what not to say, will catch on. After all, our goal is to create a safe space for women in our community to learn from one another and also get support from each other, and us, whenever hurtful comments come their way.
