Cute Styles When Your Hair is Growing Back

3 MINS to read

If you’ve treated been treated with chemotherapy and lost your hair in the process (which is what happened to me and Amy, who is featured in this video), it can be daunting trying to decide what to do with your hair when it starts to grow back in.

The texture and colour may actually be different than your original hair was prior to chemotherapy. It may initially grow back kinky, curly, coarse, or fine like baby hair. As it grows out and changes, it’s a good idea to be gentle on your hair. You might also need a few trims to get rid of the “chemo fuzz” and keep the shape maintained. Patience is key!

I’m going to show you some cute hairstyles for when your hair is growing back. Just follow these easy steps!

Here’s what you need:

  • Headbands
  • Hair clips
  • Bobby pins
  • Mini straightener
  • A variety of hair products: spray, wax, pomade

Here are the steps:

  1. Use hair paste and press it into your hair
  2. Place hairpins wherever bits of hair are sticking up
  3. Accessorize with a fun headband
  4. Use a mini straightener to help tame the little curls
