Turning the Page on Cancer (TTPOC) is an annual virtual fundraiser where people participate in a month-long read-a-thon in support of Rethink’s Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) Fund during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Read as many books and collect as many donations as you can during the month of October – Breast Cancer Awareness Month – and all funds raised will support MBC outcomes through education, support, advocacy and research.
TTPOC was created by Samantha, a powerful advocate for metastatic breast cancer issues. Leveraging her love of books and wanting an event easily accessible and inclusive of those in treatment, Sam created Turning the Page on Cancer.
The Turning the Page on Cancer Committee — comprised of Sam’s husband, best friends and her loving community — continue her legacy and vision to amplify the voices of those living with MBC and improve MBC outcomes through education, support, advocacy and research.
“My mantra has always been to fight for those living with MBC when they couldn’t anymore — now the time has come when I hope someone will do that for me.” — Samantha Price Mitchell
Since the event started in 2019, it has raised over $300,000 to support vital MBC initiatives through Rethink Breast Cancer.
